To evaluate, design and implement, through interface with field management and customers, proper packaging methods designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues and enhance customer service.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Review field operations and facility planning with internal management and take action where appropriate and necessary.
Analyze, recommend and monitor operating plans to increase customer service levels and productivity improvements.
Develop, analyze and distribute damage and loss cargo claim reports. Manage damage and loss program for top ten claimant customers in territory. Perform on-site damage claim inspections to determine cause and liability.
Provide technical expertise relating to packaging requirements, materials, acceptance policies and package systems.
Establish and maintain communications between matrix departments, divisions and operating companies. Partner with sales to maintain and expand customer business opportunities.
Develops and executes training programs for peers. Provide proactive and recurrence training to appropriate field personnel for packaging related functions.
Monitor, analyze and recommend ways to improve service, reduce costs, reduce damage and loss claims.
Assists in the recruitment and orientation process of new hire engineers.
Leads corporate level projects.
This position will be located in Collierville, Tennessee.
Bachelor''s degree/equivalent in computer science, math or other quantitative discipline.
Eight (8) years exempt packaging or related experience.
Strong analytical, computer and communication skills.
Travel and lab work required.
